We are all responsible for ensuring that as a community we follow the necessary protocols to ensure the best chance of a successful 2020 junior football season. By doing the right thing we maximise the chance of a 2020 season and protect the safety of our families, our friends and the wider community. In order to do this, there are certain protocols that we require everyone to adhere to and we have listed them below. We need everyone to understand their responsibilities.

COVID-19 SAFETY OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES: SCOTT COGHLAN
The COVID-19 Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that the club and its members adhere to the protocols set out by the league to protect the safety of the community. The club is responsible for ensuring that all members are educated on the protocols and a newsletter will be prepared for all members outlining the key responsibilities of all parties. The Secretary will prepare an acknowledgement form that will need to be signed off by all players and their parents prior to training with the club.

Before training can commence
• Before training can commence, approval must be sought from the local council and provided to the league.
• The COVID-19 SAFETY OFFICER must complete the Infection Control Training
• All members must understand their responsibilities

COACHES COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Coaches Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all coaches understand their responsibilities and adhere to the strict protocols set by the league.
• COVID-19 Infection Control Training must be completed prior to training commencing – certificate of completion to be sent to the Secretary.

COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES
• All coaches must complete the COVID-19 Infection Control Training prior to training commencing – certificates of completion to be sent to the Secretary.
• Please ensure you have the details of all parent’s easily accessible.

Training
• Training can commence post June 2, 2020
• 2 x groups of 10 players max, plus coach and minimal support crew
• No crossover between groups during training sessions
• Ensure strict no physical contact (no tackling, no bumping, no marking contests) by all players
• Social distancing of 1.5m must be maintained at all times for all on site
• Football and cones are the only equipment to be used
• If pair work – pairs must not change during session
• Get in, train, get out – everyone must leave the site immediately after training
• No spectators – the league recommend drop off / pick up – if unable to leave, then must remain in their cars
• Inform COVID-19 Safety Officer of anyone not attending due to illness.
• Training sessions must finish on time to allow for the timely collection of children.

Hygiene at Training
• If you are unwell you must not attend
• Send any unwell players home (by contacting parents)
• Encourage use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer before, during and after training
• Clean all equipment with antibacterial wipes after every training session
• Enforce no high fives, handshakes or other physical contact

TEAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Team Managers to fully understand the COVID-19 Training Protocols
• Team Managers must have completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Training prior to training commencing
• Please ensure you have the details of all parent’s easily accessible.

Training
• Responsible for ensuring attendance register is completed for all training sessions and sent to Secretary within 24 hours post training
• Ensure no parents congregate at training and remain in their cars.
• Ensure all players and parents have returned their signed acknowledgement of the COVID-19 training protocols before participating in training.

Hygiene
• Ensure Hand sanitizer available and used at every training session
• Max 10 players in each group
• Assist the coach in addressing any breaches

TRAINER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Team Trainers to fully understand the COVID-19 Training Protocols
• Team Trainers must have completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Training prior to training commencing and send certificate to the Secretary.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain social distancing of 1.5m at all times
• Strictly no physical contact
• Use hand sanitizer
• Stay in your allocated training group
• Bring your own drink bottle and do not share
• Stay away if unwell or have been in contact with someone who has been sick
• Do not attend for 14 days after being in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Encouraged to complete the COVID-19 Infection Control Training.
• The league recommend drop off, leave, pick up – if unable to leave, then we ask you to please stay in the car at all times
• Ensure your children understand and fulfill their responsibilities
• Maintain social distancing of 1.5m at all times
• Strictly no physical contact
• Please ensure the Coach and the Team Manager have your current contact details.

PLAYERS AND PARENTS 
Coaches/Team Managers will be in contact in the next week to inform you of your new training time and location. Thank you to everyone for your understanding as we navigate this new world. We are very excited to be returning to a training program and want to ensure we do so in a way that ensures everyone’s safety.
